A Christmas Carol

Lynn wrote this teleplay adaptation, based on her Broadway musical version of the Dickens classic. The two-hour Hallmark Entertainment Special aired on NBC, with lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Alan Menken.

The special starred Jason Alexander, Jessie L. Martin, Jane Krakowski, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Geraldine Chaplin, and Kelsey Grammar as Scrooge. It was directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman.

“The score is lyrical, haunting and memorable. “A Place Called Home” is pure nirvana. Other highlights of the score are the songs: “The Nights Of Long Ago” and “God Bless Us Every One” among others.”
